My Love For TIE-DYE.

Recently (Okay maybe not that recent), I fell in love with everything tie-dye cause I love the effects it gives on fabrics which makes it look unique and all that! *NOT counting that dude who loves tie-dye as well. Ahem, cough cough.*

I found something that caught my attention. This lady named Heather is so creative and I can see that she puts in effort into trying new things. She's one of those artistic kinda person, obviously. I've been reading her tumblr for quite awhile already and she never fail to amaze me.

Make yourself a tie-dye/dip-dye bag!

What you’ll need:

  • canvas bag (could be cool if it has a logo or design already on it)
  • bucket
  • rubber gloves
  • two colors of fabric dye
  • salt

Directions:

  1. Mix one packet of fabric dye into your bucket of hot water. Add salt (as instructed) to the water for more vibrant colors.
  2. Submerge half of the bag into the dye and let sit until the bag is desired shade. I stuck mine in for a while and then pulled it out about an inch so that it was lighter towards the edge but still blended.
  3. I didn’t rinse my bag right away. I let it sit in the empty bucket until it was dry.
  4. Repeat these steps with your second color.
  5. Again, I waited about 20-30 minutes before rinsing the bag. I decided to wait in the hopes that the color would stay as saturated as it could. I rinsed the bag until the water was clear.
  6. Wash + dry your bag. (make sure you wash them by themselves so that the dye doesn’t transfer onto any other items)
